Röntgen(X-ray) Image Sequences

Of two glass objects from the reference collection, röntgen image sequences where acquired. Inspecting these image sequences can improve your understanding of the complex geometry of these objects (no rotation symmetry around main axis). Because the X-rays enable you to 'see through' the object it is difficult to distinguish the front and back of the object. Using a CT scanner one could even acquire three dimensional models of the objects.

  3D reconstructions of glass objects

Drawings of glass or pottery profiles can be used to produce 3D-reconstructions of the original objects, provided that the objects are rotational bodies without e.g. handles or spouts attached.
But for these 'simple' objects, 3D-reconstructions seem to have little added value.
